Welcome To My New Website!
My name is Dr Luis Idrovo. I have been working in Leeds Neurosciences since 2014 as a Consultant Neurologist with interests in Cerebrovascular diseases and Headache disorders. I currently provide inpatient and outpatient work at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust including acute and general neurology clinics and specialized diagnostic and procedural headache-facial pain clinics.
At Leeds Neurosciences, I designed and implemented a comprehensive procedural headache clinic where patients have the opportunity to be seen in a one-stop clinic to access novel treatments for complex headache and facial pain disorders including injectable treatments (Botox and Cranial Nerve Blocks) and more recently CGRP inhibitors (Monoclonal antibodies and Gepants). I also participate in current headache NIHR and commercial clinical trials. I am actively involved in teaching and supervising medical students, junior trainee doctors and fellows. I have been appointed to participate on regular lectures at the University of Leeds medical School.
I completed a specialized neurology and stroke training programme at La Paz University Teaching Hospitals in Madrid in 2009, a postgraduate diploma in Neurosciences at Autonoma University of Madrid. I have collaborated as an Honorary Neurologist at King’s College Hospital – Headache Group in London and have been involved in direct clinical care of complex headache patients and in academic / research projects.
I am currently providing care to patients in the NHS and privately at Spire Methley Park hospital in Leeds.
